THE SURROUNDING VALLEY
The sunny hills and green valleys that are so typical of the Appenine mountains have been adorned with numerous look-out points that are ideal resting spots for those who enjoy trekking, riding mountain bikes or taking an excursion through nature on horseback.
Near to “Vossemole” are historical places of interest such as; The Gamogna Hermitage and the Village “Borgo” Abbey. Other natural places of wonder include the Trebbana Oak and the Acquacheta Waterfall . For those who are looking for the right mix between vivacious city life and the serenity of the hillside, Abbey of the Valley offers just the right equilibrium. The city of Faenza, that is culturally famous for its fine ceramics, is only 36 km away and Ravenna, city of ancient mosaics, is 66 km away. Florence (72km away) can easily be reached by car, or if one prefers, by taking a panoramic train ride through the Appenine hills, parting from the scenic town of Marradi and arriving in the central station of Florence.
